Funeral arrangements for Andy Longden

It is with great sadness that I must report the death of former Dronfield Rugby Club player Andy Longden who has passed away at the age of 53 Years.

Andy was a popular player at the club before hanging up his boots and was a speedy and elusive winger who represented the club on many occasions.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathy go out to his family at this sad time.

He will be sadly missed by his former teammates and club members who had the pleasure of knowing and playing rugby with him.

Message from Andy’s family - Thank you everyone for the lovely messages of sympathy and sharing some wonderful memories of Andrew Longden . If you would like to say goodbye to him, his funeral is Saturday 17th Feb at 10.30am Hutcliffe Wood Crematorium then afterwards at Abbeydale Sports Club. No flowers please but anyone wishing to make a donation in his memory, we have 3 charities close to his heart, Diabetes UK, Sheffield Special Olympics Top Club and Cerebral Palsy Sport Race Running Group Sheffield.
