Coalville damaged Dronfield's promotion ambitions with a win at Gosforth Fields.
Today there was a welcome return to the Dronfield team for Joe Cooke starting at prop and a start at ten for the evergreen Will Moroney.
Dronfield started down the slope but the first quarter was evenly matched and it was 22 minutes before the first score, a Joe Farrell penalty. 3-0
Full back Joe slotted a second 5 minutes later. 6-0
The first try of the game came on 37 minutes by Coalville and came from a driving maul from a lineout move. 6-5
On 39 minutes there was a scuffle which resulted in a reversed penalty and a yellow card for one of the Coalville Locks. Once again Joe slotted the points.

It did not take Coalville long to score in the second half with a try on 43 minutes, missed tackles costing Dronfield. 9-12
Another try followed 5 minutes later for Coalville and they were able to score the bonus point try on 60 minutes. 9-24
Dronfield went hard at Coalville for the last quarter of the game but could not make the breakthrough.
