With Gavin Rose ringing the changes , it was an unfamiliar Dulwich side that took the field. There was a first start for Aziz Deen-Conteh and a second game for new signing Iffy Allen, whilst Tanasheh Abrahams and Michael Onovwigun returned from injury.
The Hamlet were quickly into their stride and took a 5th minute lead as Dipo Akinyemi was released through the middle and confidently beat Wilson.
It was soon two nil as Tanasheh Abrahams delivered a cross from the left that Gavin Tomlin turned past Wilson and, when Iffy Allen was barged over in the box, Ashley Carew scored from the penalty to make it three in 11 minutes.
Dulwich added a fourth when Allen seized on a mistake to play in Nyren Clunis to slide past Wilson.
Only a fine challenge from Steve Smith prevented Tomlin adding a fifth and Wilson also foiled Akinyemi when clean through.
Half Time 0-4
The second half saw The Hamlet fail to ever get going and the home side pulled back two goals from Steve Smith, the first after poor defending and the second of which was a fine shot high to the left of Amadou Tangara in the Dulwich goal.
In between the goals , Phil Wilson suffered a serious injury when he damaged his ankle trying to collect a bouncing through ball, with nobody anywhere near him. This was an unfortunate end for the popular keeper and we wish him a speddy recovery.
Dulwich were unable to test the stand in keeper with him even volleying away an Ashley Carew free kick.
