DUNVANT HOST ABERAVON QUINS IN PRE SEASON FRIENDLY (Aug 12th)

Aberavon Quins finished 4th in last season’s Division 1 West Central behind Trebanos, Maesteg Harlequins and Bonymaen in a very tough league , having been promoted as 2015-16 Division 2 West Central Champions. We last met in 2013-14 in Division 2 West, Dunvant were promoted in the league re-structures to 1 West Central and Quins finished last but went into 2 West Central as part of the restructure. In 2014-15 they finished 4th before winning their promotion the following season.
Dunvant outclassed Quins in the 2013-14 season winning both games but it was a different story in 2009-10 when Quins beat us comprehensively home and away and Dunvant were relegated to Division 3
Dunvant started very slowly last weekend against Bonymaen going 12-0 down in the early stages to then find their feet for an impressive 33-19 win. Today will be another tough workout. The weather forecast is looking reasonable for Saturday afternoon so come on down to Broadacre and support the boys. It is a squad game and they will all get a chance to take part.

On Saturday 19th Dunvant Seniors will make the short journey up to Swansea Uplands whilst Dunvant Youth will host Risca Youth at Broadacre in their first game of the season.
