The Eagles climbed to the top of the league with a tenth victory in a row.

A professional and dominant performance saw Eccleshill United move to the top of the league for the first time this season with a tenth consecutive victory to wrap up an undefeated November.

Luke Harrop was once again a hatrick hero as the winger was in fine form once again in front of goal, whilst current top scorer Jonny Irving returned to the scoresheet as Eccleshill secured another clean sheet in confident style.

After a cagey start to the game, Irving was on hand to warm everyone up at the Mitton Group Stadium when he took the ball around the Ollerton shot-stopper for a simple tap-in. Following a good spell of possession around the visiting box, Harrop slid Irving in with a clever pass that led to the opening goal.

With first half seeing very few chances for either side, an early goal in the second opened the game up as Chris Lever played in Harrop as the Eagles winger slid the ball into the bottom corner calmly to double the lead.

It wouldn't take too long for Harrop to get his second in the game, once again beating the offside trap and slotting the ball into the back of the net, this time with Scott Manning the man to get the assist.

Manning, who had a terrific game, terrorized the visitors down the flank throughout the game and his bursting run proved too much for Ollerton to handle.

With Charlie Flaherty and Andy Cooper running the show in the center of the park, there was freedom for the attacking players to utilise and both Irving and Harrop aimed to do that, playing off Lever's hold up football effectively.

As the game wore on the Eagles grew in confidence and began to play some stylish football, which led to the pick of the goals as Harrop scored his sixth in two games with a stunning 25-yard strike which flew into the top right corner.

Following this, there were debuts awarded to both Pedro Sevilha and youngster, Joe Storey, who both came on and made a good impact, with Pedro going close from a freekick which led to an Ollerton player being harshly sent off.

In the end, it was a routine win for Eccleshill who showed the signs of a team in great confidence with momentum on its side, as Regan's squad now focuses on Saturday's trip to Glasshoughton Welfare.
