A disappointing result
In a closely fought first half our wing three quarter Chris Frost scored a good individual try and our centre Josh Butcher kicked a penalty, but Fareham came back strongly and went in with a 17-8 lead at the break.
Sustained pressure from us in the second half saw our scrum half Dean Young (pictured) score a try that was converted by Butcher. Our full back Dominic Pitt then finished a great backs move to score in the corner, but the pressure from the dominant Fareham pack was eventually the dominant factor and they were able to secure a bonus point 39-20 win.
