Falkland were well beaten today when they played Carlton at Grange Loan in a rain affected match which reduced the game to 44 overs a side. Falkland had won the toss and had put the home side in to bat before the rain started. Carlton opener Watts made 162 runs and his partnership with Carlton's pro, Herdman put on 178. Carlton batted out their allotted 44 overs finishing on 309 for 7. Falkland's Aaron Paul returned bowling figures of 4 for 63 from 9 overs.
