With the game poised at 2-2 just before the halftime whistle, Mendip Broadwalk were awarded a penalty, which Shaun Buist took offence to and decided to make his feeling known to the referee. However, the referee was in no mood to be on the receiving end of a foul mouthed rant and rightly gave Shaun his marching orders, leaving Frampton with a mountain to climb, especially after Mendip Broadwalk converted the resulting penalty to put themselves in the lead.
After the red card, Frampton were under the cosh for the remainder of the game, as Mendip took the initiative and started scoring for fun, soon racking up 7, 8, 9, 10 goals before the final whistle was blown.
However, Frampton did manage to get 1 back on the hour, but it did very little to slow down the onslaught from Mendip.
Young goalkeeper, Dan Whittington, who, despite conceding the 10 goals, which no goalkeeper will be happy with, picked up the Man of the Match award, as in the words of manager Brian Cook, "if it wasn't for Dan, the scoreline could've been 20-3!".
All round a bad day in the office for the 'A's, against one of the better sides in their division, but on this occasion a moment of misplaced petulance cost them any chance of taking anything out of the game.
