Newton's third law states that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction
On Saturday the lads put everything on the line (to have the game taken from them by a 3rd party), last night Newton kicked in....
To my untrained eye there didn't appear to be any pace or pressure or spirit - at times it felt like a training session - & that's not good enough. We huffed & puffed but there was never any danger of us blowing the Brig-house down.
The visitors scored 1 in the first half & 2 in the second & it was only a combination of profligacy & Dan Wallis skill that kept the score to 3.
The only glimpse of anything other than mediocre came from Tyler Walton who put in a magnificent burst to split the away defence & his shot hit the inside of the post & eventually back into the arms of the keeper.
Everyone is allowed a bad day at the office but following the capitulation at Tadcaster, the players need to stand up & be counted on Saturday. They owe it to the management, the volunteers, the fans &, most of all, to themselves
