A Liddle Bit of Excitement as Frimley make it 4 out of 5

Fresh from last weeks fantastic away win against Staines Lammas, Managers John and Jamie looked to continue the sides progress and hopefully enjoy a Friday evening under lights.

New Signing Adam Liddle went straight into the starting line-up, partnering James Robertson up front. Other than that change, the side was unchanged from last week.

The opening exchange was a scrappy affair, however Frimley almost took the lead when Liddle found himself one on one with Robertson alongside him with only the keeper to beat, unfortunately, Liddle's first touch took the ball slightly away from him and he could only poke the ball at the on rushing keeper.

A few smart moves later however and Frimley were ahead. Robertson with a delightful ball over the last defender and Liddle was in, he calmly slotted home.

Frimley had more chances to go ahead with Robertson having a couple of chances going close.

HT 1-0

Second half and Frimley again came out and raised their tempo, the ball kept low and player movement increased and attacks followed, it was 2-0 Frimley when again Liddle found himself infront of goal and slotted home and later Drew Matthews got in on the goals with a fantastic late run into the box.

A relaxed Frimley then created chance after chance after some fantastic interplay between Theo Campbell, Drew Matthews and Ewin Kerwin and with Luke Taylor and James Dinsale running the flanks and supporting the attacks, Frimley should have scored more.

Frimley came out comfortable 3-0 winners and apart from a few half chances, the Frimley defence stood strong and a cleansheet was just reward for their efforts.

Uptop and Liddle bought a new found energy to the starting lineup, his partnership with Robertson could be interesting, unfortunately Robertson pulled up with a Hamstring injury on the 60th minute so we may have to wait a few weeks to see it.
Of the new signing, 90 minutes of sheer determination to win the ball, from channel runs to 80 yard track backs, Liddle was fantastic on his Debut for the club.

Next up Ash United visit the Rec on Saturday 21st January where we will be hoping to make it 5 out of 6.
