First Team vs Bridlington Town (A) - Saturday 4th August

By Andrew Marsh

A visit to the East Coast to get the league season underway (kick-off 3pm)....

Here we are again ladies and gents....

After a difficult summer for the club which saw a large turnover of players, manager Rob Hunter takes his new-look side to promotion-chasing Bridlington. The Neil Hudgell Solicitors Stadium is never an easy place to go and this time promises to be no different, but Tuesday's second half performance at Nostell should give the players confidence in causing an upset.

The match gives us an early chance to avenge the 5-0 defeat suffered on our last visit here on 14th April, in which goalkeeper Stephen Weatherill was controversially sent off after just ten minutes.

Chris Howard is unavailable whilst Aodhan Brownlee, Aiden Kearsley and Jonathan Andrew will miss this one through injury. However, Albert Ibrahimi is expected to return after trials with Guiseley, and striker Shaquille Clarke-Adams will go straight into the squad after signing for the club this morning. More on Shaquille to follow!

The thoughts of our manager on tomorrow can be found on The Bootiful Game.

Away travel info can be found here.

Hope to see you there, up the Miners!
