Hudson Park Hosts a Double Header as the 1st XV Against Aspull and The Blues Up Against Tarleton 3rds

The 1st XV are back in action on Saturday after having a break last weekend.
The team have had a difficult start to the season despite some good performances with two defeats in their opening games. The two teams that they have played are two of the stronger teams in the league but on Saturday they are up against the early league leaders so it doesn’t get any easier!
Aspull have undertaken a remarkable transformation in recent years following their re-entry into the RFU leagues in 2016. In that first season they went one better than Garstang last season as they completed a full season unbeaten in South Lancs/Cheshire Three in winning the league. Last season they had another strong season finishing fourth in Lancs/Cheshire Two and they have had an excellent start to this season as they have racked up over a half century of points in each of their two wins.
Lancs/Cheshire Two Fixtures:
Garstang vs Aspull
Marple vs Congleton
Orrell vs Dukinfield
Oswestry vs Birchfield
Port Sunlight vs New Brighton
Meanwhile, the Blues complete a double header at Hudson Park as they take on Tarleton 3rds in Sale Sharks Division Five North.
Both teams are unbeaten this season, albeit after just one game for the Blues, and it promises to be an exciting encounter between two clubs who are very familiar with each other.
Sale Sharks Division Five North Fixtures:
Blackpool vs Colne & Nelson 2
Bury 2 vs Kirkby Lonsdale 3
Garstang Blues vs Tarleton 3
Orrell St James vs Fleetwood 3
Preston GH 5 vs Wigan 2
All the games kick off at 15:00 so if you are not playing why don’t you get down to Hudson Park to support the lads!
On Sunday the Ladies are in home action yet again as they face Burnley Ladies.
Burney have played two games so far with one win followed by a narrow 17-14 defeat at Winnington Park Ladies last week.
Garstang will be looking to get their first win of the season following their narrow 18-12 defeat against Workington.
The game had originally been scheduled to be played at Burnley's Holden Road ground but has had to be switched due to a clash of fixtures at their club.
North Two West Fixtures:
Garstang Ladies vs Burnley Ladies
Bury Ladies vs Winnington Park Ladies
Ormskirk Ladies vs Liverpool Collegiate Ladies
The game kicks off at 14:00 so please come down and show your support!
