Prims entertained Newark Flowserve in a game that saw second play fourth, two of the league highest scorers play a competitive game for the first time.
It was an even first fifteen minutes with Prims best chance coming from a Jordan Lee free kick which Adebowale in the Newark goal tipped over when the ball looked destined for the top corner. King, Miller and Agar had chances for Newark but Prims stood firm.
In the eighteenth minute Prims took the lead when Micky Fitzhugh’s freekick found the head of Kev Morrow who made no mistake in finishing. Morrow continued to be a threat against a strong back fou, but it was Newark who equalised after thirty four minutes when following a corner the referee decided that Ollie Ball had been holding his attacker and awarded a penalty.
Agar converted the penalty past Josh Slaney.
Neither team could break each other down and they went in to half time all square.

It took Prims two minutes from the restart to go back in to the lead, this time it was Prims that were awarded a penalty for a foul on Kurt Dallison. Fitzhugh stepped up and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way. In what was beginning to be an eventful game for the neutral both teams looking to attack and creating many chances. Newark equalised after sixty minutes when a long range shot by Meadows saw the ball take an awkward bounce over Slaney and in to the back of the net. Prims regained the advantage again after sixty eight minutes when some nice play saw Morrow find Fitzhugh on the right hand side of the area and his first time shot across the goal was too good for the Newark keeper. However Prims lead lasted eight minutes when Agar went passed Ollie Ball on the touch line, fell over, and be awarded a penalty. Prims defenders were not happy with the decision by the referee. Agar stepped up and scored from the spot again.
In the remaining fifteen minutes neither side could find the winner, but Newark came the closest but a excellent double save from Slaney kept them out.
