Manager Adam Stevens was disappointed with Tuesday night "Losing in the last minute is never easy to take. We dominated the second half, we had so many chances but we have to convert those chances. The lads know how I feel, we now go again on Saturday."
Stevens has a host of selection problems, Ollie Luto starts a two match suspension following his sending off at Ashton United, Rhys Lewis is on holiday and Sam Purcicoe picked up a hamstring strain on Tuesday night. Stefan Galinski though is likely to return after missing Tuesday night with an injury. The match could see full debuts for both Tom Potts and Riley Thompson who have so far had a watching brief this season. Stevens explained "We have to be prepared for times like these. As I said at the fans forum, I should be able to ask any player to play anywhere and expect the same commitment and work rate."
In the two meetings last season, the Gingerbreads came out on top in both fixtures. First Grantham won 2-0 at home in October, before repeating the feat away from home in November. It will be Whitby's seventh visit to Grantham with honours currently even having both won 3 ties each.
The Seasiders currently sit in 21st place, having won just once in their opening four fixtures:
Barwell (A) lost 1-0
Stalybridge Celtic (H) won 4-1
Stourbridge (H) lost 3-1
Altrincham (A) lost 1-0
