Danny Meadows returned to the starting line up after missing the win against Marine.
The Gingerbreads started on the front foot and were ahead after just 3 minutes. Ellis Storey cut inside on the left wing and put low cross in which was met by Luke Shaw turn the ball home!
On 15 minutes Stourbridge were level. The Gingerbreads gave away a free kick away on the edge of the box. Up stepped the league top scorer Luke Benbow to curl the ball passed the helpless Kieran Preston.
3 minutes later Stourbridge thought they were infront, however the Referees Assistant's flag was raised for offside.
The Gingerbreads pushed on and Harry Clifton saw his long range effort head out wide.
Rhys Lewis found himself in the right place when he cleared a Stourbridge shot from off the line.
Halftime came and it was honours even in a tight half.
If The Gingerbreads supporters thought the opening goal was quick, Lee Shaw had different ideas!
Danny Meadows played a terrific ball to Lee Shaw who slotted the ball passed the oncoming keeper to send the away support into raptures and they were joined by Adam Stevens who was still making his way to the dug out. 2-1!
From there The Gingerbreads defence stood firm, working hard to limit any clear cut chances.
With the introduction of Jeremiah Dasalou and Curtis Burrows, The Gingerbreads found themselves attacking more meaning Stourbridge couldn't get an equaliser.
The final whistle was greeted by great noise from the travelling support who will all have a great weekend.
The Gingerbreads are 8th but only 3 points outside the play off positions.
Not midweek match for The Gingerbreads, so next Saturday we travel to Frickley Athletic.
