The Gingerbreads are keen to avenge Saturday's 3-0 home defeat to Mickleover, the first defeat in six games for the side, which saw goalkeeper Kieron Preston sent off after three minutes, allowing the away side to capitalise and take the points.
Luckily enough the result did not affect the table for the Gingerbreads as they remain 3rd in the table and two points behind 2nd placed Warrington. League leaders Altrincham also moved ten points clear of Town, effectively all but ending any slim chances of a push to win the title.
Home side Lancaster have had a respectable first season in the Northern Premier League, consolidating their place in the league and currently lying in 17th place. Recent form has been inconsistent for the Dolly Blues as well, winning just one of their last five games. The most recent result being a 2-1 loss at home to table toppers Altrincham.
The Gingerbreads have already faced the side from Lancashire this season, securing a hard-fought 3-2 win at the Meres thanks to goals from Jordan Hempenstall and a brace from Curtis Burrows.
Grantham boss Adam Stevens says his side may be low on numbers for Tuesday but he is confident of picking up the points: "It doesn't help when we are missing a couple of our key players but that is how football goes sometimes. We still have a great chance of promotion this year and I have every faith in the players that are available to go and give a good account of themselves and hopefully bring back another three points on the road."
Tom Batchelor is suspended for the game on Tuesday night, serving the second of his four game suspension after picking up a second yellow card in the win at Stafford Rangers. Luke Shaw also remains on the sidelines with a long term injury. The rest of the squad is available.
