BOTTESFORD TOWN v GRIMSBY BOROUGH

WILLEC / 4MATIC / REFLEX KINGSWAY and EUROPA INDUSTRIES sponsored Grimsby Borough take a break from league action in midweek as they travel to Bottesford Town in the Semi Final of the Lincolnshire Senior Trophy.

Borough reached this stage of the competition after seeing off Winterton Rangers by a 6-1 scoreline at Bradley whilst our oppenents over came Barton Town 2-0 thanks to goals from Jack Bowskin and Jack Cross

Borough's performance was one of the most complete of the season and shows that Andy Liddle and Danny Barrett have eyes on the Trophy this season.This would be a great step for the club as we look nto overcome the disappointment of last seasons final defeat at the hands of Holbeach said vice chairman Simon Harris.

Five first half goals, including a hat trick from Marc Cooper and two from Jack Debnam were rounded up by a Danny Trott goal to seal the victory.

Form has slipped a bit for the Wilderness Boys since then though, but they got back to winning ways last weekend a s they saw off Armthorpe Welfare 3-0 at Bradley.

Bottesford Town who ply their trade in the TOOLSTATION NCEL Premier Division and currently sit eighth in the table ten points behind the leaders Yorkshire Amateur but they do have four games in hand over the leaders. Last Saturday a William Graves 20th minute goal gave them a 1-0 home victory over Maltby Main, giving them a two win start to the new year.
This game will be another good solid test for Borough and one that the lads would be grateful for your support for. Kick Off is 7:45pm.
