SUPPORT CLUB VETS IN MACMILLAN APPEAL CLASSIC BIKE RIDE

By Alan Jenkins

Six former Heath players are raising funds for the Macmillan Trust by biking from John O'Groats to Lands End. To support them, read on.

John O'Groats to Lands End: 1,000 miles by Bicycle in 9 Days!

On Thursday 24th of May, six close friends - Daniel & Adam Vander, Henry Goodburn, Dax Garside, Simon Beal and Duncan Sandlant who have all played senior rugby at Haywards Heath RFC - will be embarking on a cycle challenge. Dan currently plays for the Vets and coaches the Club's Under 7s. We aim to cycle 1,000 miles in 9 days from John O'Groats to Lands End.

We have all personally been touched by cancer over the past 12 months and want to give a little back. Dax who is riding with us is, in fact, still undergoing treatment for thyroid cancer.

Our chosen charity is the Macmillan Cancer Trust. Please visit our website which outlines in more detail why we are undertaking such a challenge and the route we will be taking.

I know we are always being asked to sponsor friends, family & work colleague but, as members of Haywards HeathRugby Club, we would very much appreciate your help by sponsoring us in any way you can.

Please see the ‘Donate Now’ link on our website link at www.wrongway doon-macmillan.co.uk
