The M4s lost 2-0 to local rivals IES on Saturday. A strong defensive effort had enabled the team to stay level at 0-0 at half time, which was a good effort given we started the match with ten men.
Man of the match Ian Taylor worked tirelessly on the right hand side, repeatedly beating his opponents to 50/50 balls. However the possession and pressure from the opponents eventually told, and they scored two in the second half. It could easily have been three, but for a head height save off the line by our valiant defenders.
Although a defeat, the team should be proud of the performance and work rate right up to the final whistle.
