Lightcliffe’s under 15s finally got their first victory of the season, with a good all-round performance against Upper Hopton.
In the field there were strong performances Fin Hill and James Lunn claiming two wickets each with one for Noah Hemingway and Bradley Atkinson, whilst Dylan Hill’s 2 catches into the sun plus another for Manraj Bassra gave the team real hope.
Bradley Atkinson led the line well with 15 from the bat for Lightcliffe, and brothers Fin (24) and Dylan (17) ensured the home side maintained the tempo.
Ben Mear (7no) left the honours to Anthony Ellwood (16no) to hit a couple of late blows to complete the win.
