By Gwilym Lewis

On a long weekend the Warriors are set to unveil their new kit.

The Warriors were formed to give people with learning difficulties the chance to play rugby. This weekend they pack a whole load of experiences into just 3 days and launch their new kit.

The kit will be an alternative to the Warriors red kit and in their traditional alternative colour of blue. The Warriors have been without a change of colour since with their sponsor RDH, they donated their jerseys (and their boots) to their Samoan opponents Vaiala Ulalei on tour in 2017.

After borrowing kit from Burry Port for their early matches, the Warriors were given their 1st set of jerseys by the Scarlets - a the blue version of their 'Celtic Warrior' kit. Since then the club have alternated between red (scarlet) and blue.

The kit is the most sponsored ever and we are very grateful to all our sponsors who allow us to fund weekends like this one:

Friday 4:30pm on the outfield at the Rec in Bath, the Warriors will play against local Bath mixed ability ide Walcot Warriors. They will then take part in the 'battle of the ropes' tug of war tournament before cheering on the Scarlets in the Rag Doll battle
.

Saturday from 11am the Warriors will take part in the GO Rugby (and Cider) festival. They will play (at least 1) Mixed Ability showcase game as well as taking part in the full tournament where they will face veteran teams as well as the other 3 Welsh Mixed Ability sides; Cardiff Chiefs, Dragons AllStars and Swansea Gladiators.

Sunday - with the GO festival now only one day, the Llanelli Warriors and Cardiff Chiefs will meet again at Llandaff (12:30 kick off).

With 2 nights in Cardiff (on Pride weekend) there will certainly be some more experiences!
