Sideline Santa says thanks for the support

Mulled Wine, Mince Pies and Charity Calendars at Spartans' Christmas Rugby Fest

“Sideline Santa surrounded by the 1XV squad and some of our supporters”

The club enjoyed great support on the sidelines this Saturday as the 1XV battled against a strong Liverpool St. Helens team.

Whilst the scoreline ended 19-68 to the away team, there was no quietening of support from the sidelines as our big group of spectators donated to the club whilst enjoying festive songs from the halfway line, hot (well, ok, warm) mulled wine and delicious mince pies - baked beautifully to perfection by Josh's mum, Chris Heaton and Wiggy.

Some more of the excellent charity Naked Rugby Players Calendars (£10) were sold and the day rounded off with Sideline Santa joining the team for a quick snap.

Thanks go out to the master bakers above, our kind broadcast partner - Gaydio, Rob MCH, Christian, Stuart, Gareth, Sean and the Sale Sports Club team.
