MARINE v CORBY TOWN - PREVIEW

By Dave McMillan

Mariners entertain Steelmen tomorrow night (Tuesday)...

Marine take on Corby Town on Tuesday night in a crucial relegation battle at the Marine Travel Arena.

The Mariners are one place and one point above the visitors who occupy the last place of refuge in the table, sitting above Frickley on goal difference.

The homesters have also played one fewer game than their visitors as they look to build on a home record that saw them defeat Ashton United 3-1 in their last outing in front of their own fans.

Corby have put together a strong run since the turn of the year to give themselves a realistic prospect of avoiding the dreaded drop, after looking relegation certainties earlier in the season. Their last game ended in a 3-0 reverse at Barwell, with the Mariners also going down by the same score at Grantham on Saturday.

Marine manager Tommy Lawson continues to add to his squad with Luke Wall the latest debutant on Saturday, the 20 year old winger coming in on loan from Accrington Stanley until the end of the season.

Admission to the MTA is £10 adults, £5 concessions with accompanied U11s admitted free.

Everton, Liverpool, Tranmere Rovers and AFC Liverpool season ticket holders are admitted for £5 on production of their season ticket.

The Graham Lounge will be open from 6pm with a guest cask ale.
