MJFC Tour Part 2 - Barcelona Easter 2020 Presentation, Menstone Club, 5th June 2018 @ 6.30pm

By Gary Whelan

Following the unbelievable success of MJFC’s first ever tour, Madrid Easter 2018, I am looking to set up MJFC Tour part 2, this time to Barcelona.

We are still waiting on Leeds Schools to release their 2019/2020 school holidays. The idea, subject to Leeds and Bradford school holidays aligning, is that the tour take place over the Easter period again.

The invite, this time, will be open to all footballers that are currently playing in our Under 7’s all way through to our Under 14’s; 8 age groups in total. A club inclusive trip.

I have attached a copy of the tour proposal. This would be a beach resort complex along with training sessions at both FC Barcelona and RCD Espanyol. This will be an exceptional tour and will be a great follow on from the recent tour to Madrid.

I have arranged for Tom Shorey from Complete Sports Solutions (the same tour company as the last trip) to come out to deliver a power point presentation on the proposed tour. This will bring the full experience alive. The presentation will take no more than 40 minutes. Importantly, it also offers us the opportunity to ask any questions. Also I think for the families that didn’t come on the last trip (and if they haven’t heard enough about the previous trip already J) it will be a great to opportunity to chat to the people that went to Madrid.

The Menstone have kindly agreed for us to use their facilities. I expect there will be possibly 40 parents plus footballers attending. With this in mind I would suggest you either walk down or park your car in the train station car park. For those of you that have not yet discovered the delights of the Menstone the link below provides directions from St Mary’s school.

If anybody is unable to attend but does have any questions if you can send them to me beforehand I will make sure they get asked. Attendance is not a commitment. I know some who have virtually signed up already. Do come along anyway. As with the previous trip it may not be for everybody. Some may be simply curious, pop along. A genuine excuse to have a pint on a Tuesday night.

Any questions please feel free to get in touch. I look forward to seeing you all on the 5th.

Kind regards
