Management changes

To facilitate the new structure Neil Wynne (aka Winnie) has left the club and Mike Cunningham will stay on as Manager. Winnie and Mike joined The Alex as joint managers early into the 2016/17 season following a disasterous start to the season saw the previous Manager leave after only 6 matches. After a good run saw Mold climb seemingly into mid table security, a string of disappointing results ended with relegation from The Huws Gray Alliance. The 2017/18 season was very inconsistent with the side ending up having reached 2 cup semi-finals and finishing 5th in The Welsh National League Premier Division. The management committee of Mold Alex would like to Thank Neil for his hard work over the last 2 seasons and wish him all the best for the future. He is very experienced in Welsh football and am sure he’ll find another club very soon.

Mike Cunningham will step up to be sole Manager but will have an assistant as Dave Roycroft joins with immediate effect. Dave was previously manager of a very successful Malpas FC before standing down to concentrate on his business. Dave joins after a couple of years away but has maintained a keen interest in local football and a good network. Welcome Dave, we look forward to working with you in the new season.

EUFA ‘A’ Licence coach Ken Price will also return for the new season and to complete the management set up we will be looking to appoint a fitness coach in the very near future. If you are interested in the role of fitness coach please contact a member of the Managment Committee or Mike Cunningham as soon as possible, thank you.
