New Mills 2 Rushall Olympic 4

The Millers exited The Doodson Sport League Cup at the opening round stage following a 4-2 defeat against Rushall Olympic on Monday evening.

Goals from Melford Knight and Danny Hewitt ( pictured ) gave Roy Soule’s side a half time advantage but this was wiped out by a quick fire double past substitute goalkeeper Ryan Pugh from Rushall’s player manager Neil Kitching.

The visitors secured their passage into the next round and a trip to Barwell when Jud Ellis scored their fourth and final goal of the night which ended New Mills’s interest in the competition for another season.
