A Cracking game to end the season

OL's come out on top in last game of the season

Everything has to come to an end and the last game of the Season was a fitting send off to what has been an excellent Season for Old Leamingtonians Under 15's squad.
Our opponents Earlsdon have made great strides this season and it is clear and their improvement was clearly in evidence at the Crofts on Sunday Morning.
After OL's had started like a rocket with a quick try in under 2 minutes to Mac it looked like this was going to be 1 way traffic .However Earlsdon had something to say about that and they responded almost immediately with a score of their own to take the lead at 5 v 7.OL's countered this with another try by slick hands to Tom WP and we lead 12 v 7 after 15 minutes .
After a sustained period of defense on their own line OL@s broke free and a push for a further try through the backs saw an interception and the Earlsdon flanker was under the posts to score and the lead swung again 12 v 14 . A bit of lethargy at the breakdown by Ol's and excellent counter rucking by Earlsdon evened up the rest of the half and Half time came There were no oranges but a stern word from the skipper !!
The second half saw OL's hit their strides and a series of injuries to the Earlsdon boys put them on the back foot .
OL's scored a couple of tries through sustained pressure to lead 24 v 14 , OLi K ,Dan mcC dotting down ,it wasnt over yet an a charge down saw the skipper catch the ball and fall over the line for a 29v 14 lead.
Again Earlsdon were not done and marched down the pitch and scored through a strong forward drive .29 v 19 .
The final try came from a strong scrum and then run and handoff by Dan McC who passed to Tom P who had a lot to do but squeezed in at the corner to seal it 34 v 19 .
It was a glorious game of Rugby by 2 committed sides played with mutual respect and very well refereed as usual .
A fitting way to end the season .Thanks Boys ,parents and coaches its been great
