On a bright spring afternoon a crowd of 89 watched in stunned disbelief as the Parkgate defeat unfolded.

Retford opened the scoring in the 21st minute with a goal by Christian Savage and as half time approached Adam Lee put them further ahead in the 42nd minute. 0-2
The second half began with a goal for Parkgate's Ross Shelton in the 46th minute. 1-2
Retford then went further ahead with a second goal in the 61st minute for Adam Lee. 1-3.
The next 10 minutes saw a flurry of goals.
The 66th minute it was a Parkgate goal by Micheal Cuckson. 2-3.
Then the Parkgate sides defeat was sealed when Jonathon Roper scored for Retford in the 73rd minute, followed one minute later with a third goal for Adam Lee in the 74th minute. 2-6
