Fiona Pocock - Women's Rugby Ambassador

Fiona began her playing career at Petersfield RFC, staying with the Club until she was 16; a time she describes as having provided a fantastic building block of rugby experience and fun in the early stages of her life.

Seeking fresh challenges and looking to continue her development, Fiona moved to Richmond RFC, playing alongside and against the best in the country. It wasn’t long before Fiona’s obvious talents had caught the eye of the international selectors; at 17 she was selected for the Elite Playing Squad and received her first cap in the same year.

Fiona has gone on to win 32-international caps and lists an impressive set of playing statistics, including four 6-Nations Championships, three of which were grand slams, silver in the 2010 World Cup and caps for England and GB Sevens.
At Harlequins she was part of the squad that won silver in the Tyrell’s Premier 15s in the 2017-18 season.

This all has been achieved despite of Fiona sustaining two potentially career-ending injuries and it is testimony to her strength of character and passion for the sport she loves that she fought past these set-backs to carry on.

This tenacity has also been evident in her professional work career; following graduation in 2010, Fiona progressed into a career in personal training, running her own personal training business for the last 8-years whilst competing at the highest level with England’s Red Roses!
