Presentation Awards 'the Promotion Season'– the season’s reflections

Thank you for coming today, as this is an occasion not to be forgotten, as 'we have just been promoted'.

Doesn't that sound good.

I was in my garden this morning, thinking of what has been achieved and then I realised this would be my maiden speech...as a Premier Division Chairman!

Today we are making presentations to 44 people.

As well as the 1st Teams success, the Youth Teams have been successful, and yesterday I was present when our Under 18 side won the Herts FA Under 18 Cup and we received this plaque to record the success. We are proud of that achievement and thank Russell and all the Managers and Secretary's for their time.

The Clubhouse extension opened for the first time in August 2017, and what boost to use such magnificent facilities. Thank you again to those who made financial contributions, BUT I will be tapping on your shoulder again soon, as we need to add more next season.

Thank you to the Sponsors, especially Pakex, to the Supporters, the "Bar Army", to the Bar and Kitchen staff, all the help on match days and those helping on the ground, to the Officers and everyone who has helped. There are too many to mention individually, but I sincerely appreciate what you all do.

I am keeping this short, as Steve will report on the football season, but I want to finish by saying how proud we all are, for a fantastic season, including the cup runs, of the Players and Managers, and this season will go down in the history of the Club, when we recall:
'WE WERE PROMOTED IN 2018 TO THE PREMIER DIVISION'.
