A goal with basically the last kick of the game sealed a friendly win for Burscough when Litherland REMYCA travelled to the Victoria Ground on Saturday.
Poor defensive judgement created a catastrophic error and handed Burscough the game at the death.
REMYCA controlled vast periods in the first half, defending well and creating decent opportunities.
They opened the scoring when Jordan Stafford slotted home from 12 yards following a foul on Jamie Colebourn inside the area.
Burscough's equaliser in the second halg was a good strike - REMYCA losing possession in their own half and a 20 yard effort nestling in the net.
All in all a good test for both sides, with several REMY players getting valuable minutes under their belts before the season begins at LSP on August 5th.
Manager Paul McNally was happy with his sides first half display, but noted the large rotation of players didn't help the consistency of his sides performance.
Next up is a trip to NWCFL Premier Division side Irlam on Wednesday evening.
