The home side went into the game with the intention of kicking Shirebrook off the pitch with the game only 5 minutes old when Worsbrough were lucky to keep 11 men on the pitch after James Kay went flying into a tackle on Joe Naylor and was very very lucky not to get a card and 5 minutes later the ref was again the center of attention when a Worsbrough flew into a tackle on Billy Simpson and he was only given a yellow card when most inside the ground expected a red to be shown that tackle also forced Shirebrook into an early change as Simpson was unable to continue and was replaced by Joe Cheeseman who came on to make his Shirebrook debut once Shirebroook managed to get the ball down and start playing football they began to work the home keeper with Kieran Watson, Declan Brewin, Ryan Herbert and Joe Naylor all having the chance to open the scoring but in the 27th minute the deadlock was broken when Kieran Watson was played through and was brought down by Jamie Green in goal Watson converted the penalty Shirebrook pushed to extend the lead but couldn't take any chances that fell there way before the break.

The second half was only 2 minutes old when Joe Naylor played a ball of the top to Kieran Watson who made no mistake to double the home side lead and minutes later Watson almost grabbed his hattrick but somehow managed to miss from yards out after being set up by Daniel Williams and as the half wore on Shirebrook were never in danger of letting the lead slip and in the 70th minute Shirebrook extended there lead when Sub Tate Clarke found Joe Naylor at the back post and his header just went over the line with the official on the far side giving the goal and Shirebrook managed to see out the rest of the game and pick up 3 well deserved points.

Shirebrook are back in action on Wednesday night when they visit Dronfield Town 7:45 ko And they are back in FA Vase action next Saturday when they visit Stourport Swifts 3pm ko
