Great Team Effort on and off the pitch yesterday and throughout the week

On behalf of the club, thanks to all who have contributed to a great week and weekend for Siddal. There was a small army of volunteers who painted the perimeter fence and who tidied up the area around the beer garden and the children's playground.

To the volunteers who staffed the bouncy castle area, the Kabin Crew, the ground staff, including Dennis, Terry, Jason and Paul and his son Jacob who have worked on the pitch during the week, the bar staff who coped well with a large crowd throughout the day - it was a great team effort.

The club came across very well in front of the TV cameras.

On the playing side, Daz and Gareth have fostered a team spirit that is clear for all to see on the pitch. The coaching team have commented on good numbers turning up to train and the two open age sides have been supporting each other. Russ Holroyd's YML team have won their last two games too and Daz and Gareth have shown they are prepared to pick players in from from the YML team, when the opportunity arises.

Let's keep this going.
