Siddal Boys (just about all of them) On Tour!!

By simon greenwood

Siddal NCL, Academy, Ex Players and Supporters looking forward to great day across at Skirlaugh ......

Siddal take two sides over to Hull tomorrow, with the NCL side playing their final regular league fixture at Skirlaugh and the Academy team nearby taking on East Hull. They will be backed by a large following as almost 100 ex players and supporters have chosen Skirlaugh for a long overdue "away day", an event that will hopefully become an annual one. Skirlaugh brought a similar number of ex players to Siddal at the beginning of the season so it felt only right we chose tomorrow's game for the trip.

Skirlaugh are battling against relegation and so desperate for a win tomorrow especially after last week's shock victory away at high flying Rochdale Mayfield. So whilst Siddal can perhaps relax a bit after clinching the Premier Division leaders shield last week there is still a lot riding on the outcome of the game.

The Academy team have already clinched the runners up spot in the YML Premier Division so again can go out and enjoy themselves tomorrow.

Both games kick off at 2.30pm.

The coaches leave the club from 11.15 onwards so if you haven't had chance to reserve a spot it may still be worth taking a chance and going down the club to see if organisor Joe McCormack has a spare seat for you.
