British Gas Division One Midlands Review - 28/02/09

Top of the table Leamington recorded a comfortable 3-1 home win over Arlesey Town but challengers in chief Nuneaton Town, 2-1 winners at home over Bromsgrove Rovers, and Atherstone Town, who came from behind to win 2-1 at Rothwell Town, kept the pressure on the leaders while Chasetown consolidated their place in the play-off places scoring a goal in each half to win 2-0 at Stourport Swifts and in form Sutton Coldfield Town made it nine games unbeaten with a 2-1 home win over Woodford United.

Chesham United went behind at home to a Leighton Town penalty shortly after the break but came back with two goals in eight minutes to win 2-1 while Bury Town recorded a 1-0 home win over Aylesbury United to leaprog both their visitors and Leighton in the table. AFC Sudbury conceded two goals in the first ten minutes on their way to a 3-2 defeat at second from bottom Barton Rovers but Romulus scored twice in the second peiod to win 2-0 at Bedworth United and Soham Town Rangers scored eight minutes from the end at Dunstable Town to win 3-2. :
