Founded in 2007, the FCV International Football Academy has become the leading private UK football academy. It offers football courses for aspiring footballers aged 14 and over, and is run to a professional football club and college standard. The football academy has helped develop players from all around the world during the last decade and saw a record eight international call-ups for Academy players during the 2016/17 season.
Graham Starmer, FCV International Football Academy managing director, said: “This is a significant step forward for the Academy which enables us to expand further, and create opportunities for even more talented players to join us from September 2018.
“In the last 12 months we have seen record numbers attend our various football programmes and this new agreement allows this growth to continue. Stamford AFC have been a very supportive partner since we re-located the Academy to Stamford in 2015 and Borderville continues to offer our players the excellent facilities they need to develop.
“I would like to thank all the directors involved who have helped make this partnership flourish. This new arrangement, coupled with an extension to our lease at the Academy’s boarding house, will see even more players from the UK and around the world being educated and coached in Stamford."
David Whitby, chairman of Stamford AFC, said: “We are very pleased that FCV Academy have extended their partnership with Stamford AFC for another six years. We are certain that this agreement will be a great success for both parties concerned."
