Graham Drury kept faith with the same starting line up that had picked up four point in the last two games.
The opening few minutes was a quiet affair with neither team creating a meaningful chance. The first chance of the game came after twelve minutes when Bowerman had a strong shot that Paul Bastock half stopped, thankfully Jon Challinor was on hand to complete the clearance.
Stourbridge were having the bulk of the possession but not creating too many opportunities while the Daniels were struggling to make an impression when they did have the ball.
The deadlock was broken on thirty-six minutes when Chris Lait played a one-two with Justin Richards and Lait curled the ball past Bastock from just outside the penalty area. This gave home side confidence and almost had a second a few minutes when Karl Hawley had a shot saved by Bastock.
At the start of the second half, Drury decided to make all three changes. Lee Beeson, Callum Rzonca and Jack Wightwick replacing Greg Smith, Sam Hill & Curtis Hartley.
Stourbridge continued where they left off in the first half and Bastock had to punch away an inswinging free kick but only as far as Dan Scarr but his header was over the bar.
Just after the hour mark, Stamford thought they been awarded a penalty. Sam Downey went down in the box and with the linesman flagging; the travelling Daniels supporters thought they had been awarded a spot kick. To their amazement the referee booked Downey for diving.
Stamford were committing more players forward as they looked for a way back into the game. They were almost punished when Hawley broke free from the half way line, Tom Batchelor kept pace with the Stourbridge frontman. As he approached the goal he turned Batchelor but as he was about to shoot Challinor slid in to block the ball.
Stourbridge got their second three minutes from time when a shot Richard pounced of Bastock and Ashley Vincent was on hand to tap in from close range.
The Daniels went close at the end with Lee Beeson having a shot but this was blocked for a corner.
