National programme success for Town

By John McKiernan

Town's 2019-20 matchday programme has seen success in this year's Soccer Club Swap Shop Programme awards.

For the tenth year running the club's programme has been voted best in the North West Counties Football League in the highly regarded national awards.

Town's match day programme made it into the top ten nationally (overall 5th place) in the non-league category for the nineth successive season.

New Club Chairman Gary Langley said, 'We take a huge amount of pride in our match day programme and editor Jeff Voller and all the contributors should be proud of their efforts and this continued recognition.

He added, 'A good programme is part of the overall match day experience as well as being a great vehicle for sponsors and advertisers.

'It's been a good season around the league with a number of clubs making huge strides in their printed programmes and an increase in on-line versions so competition has been tough.

'We must also thank Cheryl and Barry at Willow Printing who have given us excellent service throughout the season, working to some tight deadlines while producing an excellent final product.'

Congratulations also to NWCFL Premier Divsion clubs 1874 Northwich (15th) and Runcorn Town (35th) and Evo-stik League neighbours Prescot Cables (11th) who made the top fifty.
