Exciting new association with local Junior Football Club

SCTFC have just agreed a working association with Sutton Coldfield Town Juniors.
The agreement which will come into full operation at the start of next season will mean that the Juniors will be able to utilise our senior football status to be able to enter and compete in Saturday Junior football. In addition there will be a clear and defined pathway for those players in their U16s and U18s teams to progress into our set up with NPL Academy teams, U18s Midland Floodlit football, our U21s team and who knows eventually into the 1st team itself.
SCTFC will benefit from this progression which will augment our own already successful setup from U13s upwards.
This is on the back of a week in which we are proud to announce that 5 of our U18s and 1 of our U16s have been selected to play for the Birmingham County at their respective age groups and in addition young Bulgarian U21 Bozhidar Aleksandrov who has recently broken into the 1st team and played a major part in our comeback against Buxton the other week.
Bearing in mind that just a few years ago we only had a 1st team and a Youth team, this demonstrates our commitment to a full youth policy.
Small clubs such as us on a limited budget yet still competing at Step 3 need to produce more of our own players to survive and with the 3G pitch as well we have a facility that young players can develop their skills on.
