It all began when the Evo-Stik League reprieved Goole AFC after Ilkeston FC were wound up in the courts and had their step 4 licence revoked, meaning a drop for them (if they continue) freed up a space, and as you would expect Goole AFC were only too pleased to take their place back in the higher league.
This meant a reprieve for Barton Town Old Boys from their relegation from the NCEL Premier Division down to Division One. So another space was up for grabs in NCEL Division One.
Theories on the internet had Ilkeston FC (or any future Ilkeston-based team) dropping down to the East Midlands Counties League and Teversal FC moving back the the NCEL, but earlier today it was revealed that, after Westella & Willerby had refused their reprieve and deciding to rebuild in the Humber Premier League instead, Nostell Miners Welfare would resume their spot in NCEL Division One, and Teversal FC would begin the new season in the East Midland Counties League as previously planned.
So the next big date for Teversal FC is the East Midlands Counties League's AGM in a couple of week's time.
