Disappointing start to our EH Cup tournament,

Disappointing start to our EH Cup tournament with a 2:0 defeat against Kingston upon Hull. We managed to get 11 players out with 9 from Thirsk and two players borrowed from Northallerton (Tom O'Mahoney & Jamie Atkinson). we started the game brightly with good possession and good movement. Hull were also a good passing team and pressed us hard into our 23, which lead to our defence sitting too deep which was exploited by Hull for their first goal. Some indifferent passing in our own half saw us lose the momentum and again the team sat deeper and deeper and the inevitable second came for Hull and they could have had more but for some excellent goal keeping from Sam Ross Russell.
