At the AGM, I stepped down as Chairman of the Club.
It is time for the next generation to take over and I am pleased Mark Priestley has agreed to succeed me in the Chair as he is very much at the heart of the Club which is so important.
I have enjoyed my Chairmanship over the last few years and would like to thank the Committee and members of the Club for all their help and support during this time.
I have been associated with Thrumpton CC in one capacity or another for over 50 years when it was a tiny club with a fenced of square in the middle of a cow meadow and the pavilion was an old railway carriage.
Since that time thanks to the hard work and enthusiasm of many members it has become the splendid village club it is today set in beautiful grounds.
It has been an honour to serve as Chairman.
