Hugely impressive display

Up against it with only 15 players but we were treated to another excellent team performance.

Today's travels saw our U13s head to Market Bosworth who have run in 50-odd points in recent wins against Old Sils and Leicester Forest. The whole game was a very attritional and hard-fought affair with both teams struggling to get any continuity in the extremely testing conditions but, as it did against Stafford, the boys' teamwork and commitment saw them end up very worthy winners.

Normally a player who scores a hat-trick would get the man-of-the-match nod but (sorry Cory) each and every one of our boys deserve a massive amount of credit for their performance. The cold, the wind, a sloping pitch, only just enough players to make a XV, boys playing out of position - plenty of potential excuses for a less-than-excellent display but all these were forgotten when the final try was converted and the ref blew up for time. Well done to Cory and Harry for their scores and to Kieran for an exemplary debut at full-back.

Congratulations boys on another determined team performance. The hard work is really paying off, keep it up.
