John Coxon - Once a Wasp, Always a Wasp

By Dom Benson

It is with great sadness that Wasps FC mourns the passing of former player and A XV captain, John Coxon.

John was a driving force of the Club in the mid 1960s before moving North to Whitby where he and his wife Rachel lived for the past 40 years as leading figures in the region's sporting and community life. John also played for POMES, the Sunday team based mostly on Osterley and Wasps players including Russell Tulloch, who remembers John as a great character, friend and Wasp. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. May he rest in peace.
