Six Nations Championship - 2019 Ticket Ballot

By Dom Benson

Eligible members are invited to apply for tickets for the 2019 Six Nations Championship matches at Twickenham and other venues.

Eligible members are those adults who are fully paid-up voting members of the Club for season
2018/19. Please note payment of youth or mini subs does not confer voting or ticket rights.

Closing date for applications is 30 November 2018. Please make cheques payable to
‘Wasps Football Club’. The prices shown on the application form below include a nominal fee per
ticket to defray costs of printing, postage etc. Completed application forms should be sent
by post, along with payment, to Andrew Richmond.

Ticket availability is dictated by the balance between the allocation of tickets from the
RFU and demand from Club members.. Recent Six Nations’ experience has been that
supply has fallen short of demand for tickets and thus, in order to reduce time, expense
and disappointment, applications will only be accepted for either of the two major matches
against France or Scotland. Such is the likely scarcity of tickets that no allocation will
exceed two tickets. Please state your preference on the application form. Should demand
from members greatly exceed availability, a ballot will be conducted.

For England v Italy, no limitations are currently in place. Junior tickets are available at
£20 each, only with the purchase of £75 adult tickets; junior tickets are not available with
higher-priced adult tickets. RFU defines ‘junior’ as under 15 years old on matchday.

For away matches in Dublin and Cardiff, the RFU has intimated the Club’s allocation
may be as low as two/four tickets per match. It is appropriate therefore to hold a raffle for
the right to purchase a pair of tickets. Applicants are invited to complete the form
accordingly @ £1.00 per raffle ticket.

Ticket usage – The RFU has issued a lengthy document to all Clubs regarding the proper
use of international tickets, the black market and the imposition of sanctions should any
ticket allocated to the Club fall into the hands of speculators. The Club fully endorses the
RFU approach and the following represents an extract from the terms and conditions
imposed by RFU –

1. tickets allocated are for personal use only – to include family and friends
2. tickets provided must not be sold or advertised for sale by any mechanism
3. tickets should be not posted on any social media sites
4. if you are unable to use the tickets allocated, they must be returned to the Club

Despatch of tickets will take place as soon as possible following receipt of tickets from
the RFU; this normally occurs 2/3 weeks prior to the match. All applicants will receive a
letter providing allocation details, with tickets if successful, in the run-up to the matches.
