Five games of rugby that's what! Today saw one of the highlights of the season, with the annual Herts County Festival. Hosted by Barnet Elizabethans RFC, the boys played in five 12 minute matches in our pool with Old Grammarians, Bishop Stortford B, Hertford 2, Tring Tigers and our Watford Nemesis - Fullerians.
First match versus Bishop Stortford, Watford were ruling the pitch with a 4-1 victory, starting the day on a real high. Second match versus Old Grammarians was much closer, with them narrowly winning 3-2. The third match saw the team dip, Hertford winning 4-2.
Match four versus Fullerians was really tough with the boys fighting hard in defence but unable to hold off a strong side. Final match v Tring was pretty much even stevens with a couple of fantastic breakaways try's on Watford side.
Watford displayed the core Rugby values at all times, working hard even when at a disadvantage.
Thank you to our coaches Matt and Ben, and to George from the Senior Squad for coming to support the team.
