Improved performance from a quickly developing Welwyn Ladies Team

Welwyn Ladies Vs Royston 11/03/2018

Welwyn Ladies faced 2nd top of the table Royston Ladies in our home match. Our away fixture at Royston in December saw Welwyn pick up some nasty head injuries and a big 49-0 loss against the strong Royston Ladies. In our away fixture we attended with a team of just 14 however we had a strong team of 20 players going into this match.

Determined to challenge them at home, Welwyn brought the match too them. The ladies worked together from the start supporting play and using our strength of handling and speed. At points we had them on them working hard in defensive. Royston is a very physical team and saw Welwyn ladies having to put in some big tackles. Lots of positives and area of growth to take away from this game.

Player of the Match went to Lilly Dance , a new player to us this season who has improved as the season as progressed.
