West Nautical Extends Sponsorship of South Shields Westoe RFC

West Nautical has continued its sponsorship of South Shields Westoe RFC’s development and colts teams.

This year marks the third year that West Nautical has sponsored the Club’s development team and this year has brought about the sponsorship of the colts also, a team for 16 to 18 year olds.

Geoff Moore, West Nautical’s managing director and former Westoe player said: “We are delighted to support South Shields Westoe RFC for another consecutive year and look forward to continuing our partnership throughout 2018.

“As a former player I have very strong links to the Club and I’m delighted that we are able to continue to support its development.”

Committee man, Dave Barnes stated "Support and sponsorship are vital to the running of the club in difficult financial times. As a club we look to reducing running costs to members as much as possible and sponsorship provides playing kit and training aids to allow the community to become fully involved".

Westoe RFC was established in 1861 in South Shields, an area that has a strong connection with the maritime and shipbuilding industry thanks to its world-renowned marine training centre. Offering a range of short courses, high-level training and apprenticeships, several of West Nautical’s employees and yacht crew have studied here and West Nautical’s annual Captain’s Command and Control training course is also hosted at the venue.
