An emotional win against Guildford keeps Vandals up another season!!

Another fixture against Guildford meant Vandals A we’re keen to keep on current form and secure their league place for the next season.

Our team talk was inspired, and realised we had discovered ourselves a new motto... ‘What would Elsa do?’
(She would in fact let it go...
The bad ref decisions that is... not the ball in case you were wondering!)

It took the first few minutes to find our stride, but we kept calm, collected and strong to finish the quarter only a goal up.

The defence were superb at forcing the shooters away from post and not getting the rebound. Amber and Lizzi were like wolves, hunting as a pack, and with the added pressure through court made some easy pickings.

Attack had to play intelligently again, ‘taking a breath’ on the circle edge as Rachael would say. The shooters had to constantly change their game, from rotating in the circle, to playing triangles and playing low balls. They did a brilliant job at staying mentally strong despite external factors.

Grace and Darby were great subs, and the fresh legs helped confuse and drive forward the ball.

A brilliant squad game, tough mentally, and emotionally exhausting. But we did it!!!!

Congratulations to Amber would got the player of the match double.
