A win with huge meaning

A team out of the relegation zone with a cracking win over Gems

A chilly morning meant Vandals were wrapped up warm when arriving to meet Gems in the final Kingston game of 2017.

A season that’s been rife with injuries took another hit as we lost Anna to a chest infection, meaning Lizzi had to step up and be a Princess for the week.

We stepped on court focusing on being relaxed, and just playing netball. We all needed to put the past couple of weeks behind us. The first quarter saw Vs ease into the lead by 7 goals, with clear, decisive and calm Netball.
The switch of ends saw Gems gain momentum, and had a pair of excellent shooters converting important goals. They closed the gap, and thought they were back in it.
The third quarter meant we had to step up a gear and prove to ourselves and the opposition that we were made of stronger stuff! Darby came on at WD.
Final quarter saw Vs work to close out the game, play our own style and focus on our timing, and use our brains to play real Vandals Netball.

An amazing result, and we’re out the relegation zone for Christmas!!
